                                               ASSESSMENT OF COSTS - REASONS

MICHELLE LAMY, ASSESSMENT OFFICER

[1]                              This is the assessment of the respondent's costs following the judgment on January 9, 2001 dismissing the instant appeal with costs.

[2]                              On August 30, 2001 we sent counsel for the appellant a copy of the respondent's bill of costs by registered mail, asking him to make his written submissions by September 21, 2001.

[3]                              As no submissions have been received to date we award the respondent's costs as requested, except for Item 26. For that item we award 2 units, since the assessment of costs was not contested.

[4]                              The respondent's costs are assessed in the amount of $1,517.72, which consists of $1,100 for costs and $417.72 for disbursements. A certificate is issued in the amount of $1,517.72.
