                      REASONS FOR ORDER AND ORDER

TREMBLAY-LAMER J.:

[1]                 This is an application for judicial review of a decision of the Convention Refugee Determination Division of the Immigration and Refugee Board ("Refugee Division"), determining that the applicant is not a Convention Refugee.

[2]                 The applicant, Aboubacar Sidiki Berte, is a citizen of Ivory Coast. He claims to have a well-founded fear of persecution by reason of imputed political opinion.

[3]                 The Refugee Division rejected the applicant's testimony in its entirety because it appeared to it to be devoid of credibility. The panel noted that "the claimant was not a credible witness because his story is marked by implausibilities, additions and contradictions relating to major material facts in his claim." When the applicant was confronted, he was unable to provide the panel with satisfactory explanations.

[4]                 Despite his counsel's efforts, the applicant failed to prove that the findings stated by the Refugee Division were made in a perverse or capricious manner or without regard for the material before it. As a result, the application for judicial review is dismissed.
